Picturesque Bainbridge Island, Washington today. Take the Bainbridge Island ferry from Seattle for a nice ferry ride to the island. Downtown Bainbridge has all kinds of little shops and restaurants. We found a restaurant with a great view of the Puget Sound and harbor. After, take a drive to the top of the island and cross the bridge back to the mainland and drive over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge to circle back to Seattle. Or just spend the day on the island and take the ferry back. There are of course many islands in this part of the world, including the San Juan islands, Blake Island and Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
