The San Juan Islands are situated off of the Washington State coast, not far from the Canadian Vancouver Island. This photo is from Friday Harbor located on San Juan Island. The ferry ride from Seattle to Friday Harbor is lovely, passing other islands, sea lion colonies and if you are lucky, whales.
