Posted by Keeping on with the Welsh theme and Cardiff, Cardiff is famous for three things…Rugby, Football (Soccer) and the Castle…but it also has some wonderful secrets which you might just miss unless you know…Two to mention are the wonderful shopping arcades. Cardiff has the biggest concentration of shopping arcades in Europe. Many are late 19th and early 20th century. One to look for is the Royal Arcade built in 1858. Secondly, take a side trip to Roath Park, which has a wonderful lake, conservation area and beautiful gardens including a rose garden.
Fun Fact: Cardiff Castle began as a Roman fort 2000 years ago!
