Shanklin, Isle of Wight

Shanklin is a delightful mix of the old and new. Take a walk through old Shanklin to see wonderfully pretty thatched cottages, pubs and tea rooms. The newer section has more modern hotels, the Esplanade and amusements. The beach is golden sand. If you would like to take advantage of the many cliff walks rather than sit and watch the world go by and the sea roll in, then that is certainly an option. However, Rylstone Gardens might make you think twice…

Fun Tip: Blackgang isn’t the only Chine on the island. Take a moment to visit Shanklin Chine at night when it is lit up with fairy lights…It even has it’s own waterfall!
