West Wales

Posted by

We will stay in Wales for another day. West Wales is known for its pristine beaches, tiny harbors and wonderfully pretty inlets. Pembrokeshire has over 50 beaches, many suitable for walking, others for rockpooling. For example, Abermawr Beach is a secluded beach which exposes very old tree stumps at low tide…Why? They are the result of an 8000 year old ice flow that melted as it was passing through. Not far from Abermawr little harbors and coves such as Fishguard Harbor are delightful spots for lunch and/or a fishing trip. Fishguard also has a ferry port to Ireland. Other inlets and coves are teeming with bird life.

Fun Tip: For the more adventurous rock climbing or surfing are possible…
