Birds, Birds, Birds…

Birds, birds, birds…We are all used to seeing the ubiquitous pigeon and duck, but did you know there are almost 600 species of bird listed in Great Britain? The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds has reserves all over Britain. You are likely to find at least one in every county. Reserves are a great way to visit places less traveled and learn something new along the way. County reserves and visiting info are listed on the RSPB website.

Fun Fact: The little bird we associate with Christmas, the robin, actually has over 6.7 million breeding pairs in Great Britain. They can be found in all habitats and at any time of year.
