Old Coventry

Posted by

Back to England today. One place that people might not be aware has old buildings, some of which go back to the 16th century, is Coventry in the West Midlands. Amazingly, while the city center was the subject of a devastating bombing raid in WWII and the cathedral was completely destroyed, in very close proximity are several very old houses that were not affected at all. This pic is one of those. If you visit the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum which is literally next door, you can find all kinds of interesting facts about Coventry’s history.

For more info check out Visit Coventry and Warwickshire and MyBrittrip.com has other posts about the area.

Fun Fact: Coventry will be the UK’s city of culture in 2021!
