Following on from my last couple of posts, featuring more people and Astoria, Oregon, here is a photo of a boy and the ocean. This was taken at Salishan, just south of Lincoln City. Lincoln City is on Highway 101, like so many of the wonderful locations I have featured. Lincoln has some cool things going on, besides the beaches, there is a casino and outlet mall, antique malls and some great restaurants and of course hotels. Salishan Lodge is a famous hotel with its own golf course, the Inn st Spanish Head is another well known one as well as a host of others. Fun Fact: If Iโm not mistaken the worldโs shortest river is in Lincoln City, the D River. So small it is only a letter!
Fun Tip: Every year between October and the end of May 3000 glass floats are left on the beaches – find one and you can keep it! See the above website for the story of the glass floats.
