An iconic world landmark repurposed as pop art. Well of course it is the Sydney Opera House, designed by Jorn Utzen it is now one of the most distinctive buildings in the world. It is home to not only Opera Australia, but the Australian Ballet, The Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Sydney Theatre Company. I remember seeing the Tales of Hoffman there many years ago and Iām sure it has been renovated since.
Fun Fact: The groundbreaking for the Opera House was in 1959 and it was finally completed in 1973. It cost AUD102 million.
