Downtown Portland, Oregon today. I am always amazed at my lack of photos considering how often I got here. Anyway here are four, top left is the Willamette River at Waterfront Park, bottom left is the Riverplace Marina, bottom right is the Portland Farmers Market on the Park Blocks and top right is the almost brand new Tillikum Bridge across the Willamette River. Anyway, there are so many other things to photograph I should probably get a few more views and cool downtown scenes. What is Portland most famous for? The Trailblazers NBA team, the MLS Portland Timbers soccer team, Voodoo Doughnuts, craft breweries, food carts and food in general, Powell’s Bookstore, Portlandia – so many things. There is also a wealth of information on Portland, but the official city website is Travel Portland.
Fun Fact: In 1845, Portland was named by the toss of a coin. It was either going to be Boston (Massachusetts) or Portland (Maine)…
